Re: CRM Integration: When does the Campaign store the Campaign ID in the latest campaign field for the contact record?

Hi Dustin,

No - just the last one (the one they are members right now, before making the call to the CRM Update program)

While in Eloqua I can easily filter/segment those contacts that have been member of a certain campaign, I need the Campaign ID to be passed over when I create the lead, so the member can be created in the SFDC Campaign. It's basically on THAT side that I'm worried.

If I don't pass that value, then the lead will be created but it will not be mapped to the SFDC Campaign... so I can only report in Eloqua but NOT on the other universe, which is complicated for me

The contact record has only 1 value that I can use. It's not a 1:many relationship for the CRM Integration. The field I can use is "Last SFDC Campaign ID" -- according to my configuration at least. Problem is that I'm not storing anything during the normal campaign, and I think I screwed up somewhere where I should have passed the value... I was assuming Eloqua would save it there, but it's not (at least not so far).

The out of the box CRM Update program we're using will look for that value, and if empty, will just create a lead but will not associate it with the SFDC Campaign, and not create a member.

I hope this answers your question? Let me know if you need further info.

Thank you!!

-- Edited to add: I'm not worried about creating a new contact (that is already solved by the synch with the Contact ID) or a new lead (that also is solved with the synch, if SFDC Lead ID is populated will just update, not create a new one). My concern is to add the MEMBER to the SFDC Campaign, which is critical for reporting. The only way to make that happen is to have the Last SFDC Campaign ID in the contact record, and that's not happening.
