Hi All,
I am relatively new to Eloqua. I havent had much time to do the university courses and have to solve a number of issues. One being the behaviour of a shared filter in program builder.
Scenario:
I have 3 programs that link into each other. Each one has a set of criteria which is based on a customers contact date and how far they are into or over their contract, EG. up to 6 months / 6+ -12 months / 12+ - 18 months. A customer may have more than one asset and each of those assets could fall into each campaign.
The way the programs work:
if the product does not qualify for the first program as none of their products are out of date by 6 months they go to the next program to see if they qualify for the next date range and this is repeated to the 3rd program. The filters are also looking for a product number so that we only look at individual products. So if a customer has 3 products, each will be labelled 1, 2 or 3.
What i am finding is:
Customer A has 2 products. One product (product 1) would qualify for up to 6 months and the second product (product 2) would qualify for 6+ - 12 month program. What we are expecting is product 1 will be picked up by the filter as it is looking for the product number and also date range. This would then flow through the logic. We then want product 2 to be treated independantly as it should then be excluded by the filter, as it does not qualify for the date range.
However we are finding that all the products are being put through the first program as i believe filters are looking at the contact level and if the contact qualifies then it is pulling through all the assets.
So is there a way to create an asset based filter or is there filter logic that we can use to treat assets individually?
Thank you for youtr time in reading this.
